Sister and the Sun, a renowned Band, is made up of a talented team of creative musicians who have been performing together since 2013. They consistently deliver high-energy performances at venues, private events, and festivals alike, fusing soulful vocals, acoustic grooves, and gutsy electric wails with unforgettable rootsy rhythms that will make you want to move.

 

Providing audiences with a surprisingly full sound at their soulful live shows, Sister and the Sun have been winning people over across the Western US since 2016. They’ve played large festival stages includingPickin in the Pines, Gumption Fest, the Red Dirt Concert Series, Verde River Days, Heritage Square Summer Concert Series, and Clarkdale’s iconic Clarktoberfest.

Emily shines on vocals and strings alike with soulful vocal arrangements that can easily lend themselves to RnB, Soul, Rock, & Reggae music. Her background as a student at Berklee School of Music shows as she gracefully flows between acoustic and electric guitar and ukulele to provide varied instrumentation reflective of the styles they seamlessly weave between throughout their shows.  

 

Mynzah is a monsoon of sound behind the drum kit where his technical prowess and musical creativity shine. He is equally as comfortable providing masterful percussive accompaniment on the cajon, bongos, congas, chimes, and more. His charasmatic style fuses elements of rock, latin, african, and shamanic beats that get the audience moving.
